The Crematorium Chapel is situated at the centre of the Cemetery. Services may be booked in half-hour slots, but can be extended if required. Seating is available for approximately 60 people, with ample standing room if needed. The seating is arranged in a single block with a convenient side aisle, but it is not fixed, so that alternative seating arrangements can be made if required.

Music can be provided either on the chapel’s organ, or by tapes/CD’s which are played via the chapel’s music system. Live music is welcomed. All recorded music can be operated by the crematorium staff. Funeral services can be recorded for those unable to attend.

The Chapel’s PA system can amplify the minister via the chapel speakers for those people with hearing difficulties, and an induction loop has been installed for those people wearing hearing aids. External speakers are also available, for large attendance's not able to be accommodated entirely in the chapel.

The chapel curtains comprise a full royal blue velvet curtain, and a softer net curtain, which can be used singly or together depending on preference.

Decoration in the chapel has been designed to be non-denominational, so that families of many different religions can hold their funeral services in appropriate surroundings.

All religious ornaments and symbols for different faiths are removable and interchangeable, as required.

Options for the disposal of cremated remains.

For families who wish to take their loved one's cremated remains away from the crematorium, the Company offers a range of urns and caskets. We also offer the facility of burial or scattering of cremated remains within the cemetery grounds. Scattering of cremated remains may take place in one of several Gardens of Remembrance including the ornamental and rose gardens. Burials of cremated remains may be in existing private graves, special graves for cremated remains, or in above ground ashes graves. For full details please see the information on the Gardens of Remembrance pages.
